Do plumbers need a SWMS?
Yes, for high-risk construction work (HRCW) under Schedule 3 of the Model WHS Regs — and most commercial PCs require one for any plumbing work on their site regardless. HRCW that turns up in plumbing includes work at heights ≥ 2 m, excavation > 1.5 m deep, confined-space entry, hot works, demolition, and work near energised services.
Can you build SWMS for confined space, excavation and hot works?
Yes. Our standard plumber pack covers permit-required confined-space entry with atmospheric testing and rescue planning, trenching to standard depths and ground conditions, and oxy / brazing / soldering hot works with a hot-work permit framework. Higher-risk variants (deep excavation, contaminated ground, prolonged confined-space jobs) may need separate scoping — contact us before ordering for non-standard work.
Do you cover residential and commercial plumbing jobs?
Both. Same pack format, plumbing-specific controls. Commercial PC paperwork demands tend to be heavier — your SWMS will be tuned to commercial site requirements where ordered for commercial scope.
Will the documents include my ABN, plumbing licence number and logo?
Yes. ABN, plumbing licence number, company name and logo populated through every doc. Director sign-off line included. Gas qualification details included where relevant.
What happens if the principal contractor rejects the SWMS?
